You asked for it, I promised it was coming…and now it’s finally here! It’s our all new ChalkPaint™ workshop, ‘Techniques Three: Texture, Blending, Mixing and more!’
I’ve designed a dynamic and playful workshop where you’ll be mixing techniques, trying out multiple colours, and using paint and wax together to create amazing effects.
In this workshop you will:
- Learn how to do an ombré blending technique.
- Create a pallet wood effect using texture, washes, dry brushing and painting over wax.
- Make your own custom colours by mixing different shades of Chalk Paint™ — plus, get an intro to colour theory.
- Learn how use Chalk Paint™ as a stain for raw wood.
- Make a special coloured glaze by mixing Chalk Paint and Wax together.
- Try Annie Sloan’s lacquer.
We’ve already held a few classes at Malenka Originals and the feedback has been amazing! Students were wowed by what they learned — many had already been using Chalk Paint for years, but didn’t know about these different ways to use the paint and wax.
The Ombre blending technique has been a huge hit!
