If you haven’t heard, we’ve been bestowed with not one, not two, but NINE new Chalk Paint™ colours this year! In this second edition of four, we introduce to the two new neutrals. (If you haven’t read about the two new whites, you can do it here.)
Meet Svenska Blue…
You love Duck Egg, yes us too…but just wait til you try Svenska. She is paler than Duck Egg, but holds a special, soft vibrancy. Still considered a neutral in this palette, Svenska basically goes with everything. Pinks, reds, greys, blues, browns, blacks, orange, yellow…everything!
As Annie explains about Svenska, “a crisp and cool toned blue-grey, evocative of the colours seen throughout Swedish manor houses in the 17th and 18th Century.”
You will love Svenska, I promise!
And then, wait for it…
…check out this beauty new grey.
Chicago Grey is a cool, fresh and modern grey, with a hint of blue. Annie says it’s, “suggestive of the architecture in Chicago. A perfect neutral for industrial interiors, or muted Scandinavian styling.”
If you’re wondering where it fits in with the other greys, here’s a little summary…
Paris Grey: A soft and gentle grey with a bit of warmth in it.
French Linen: A khaki grey, the colour of aged linen (also often referred to as a ‘greige’, ie: grey/beige)
Country Grey: Not really grey. More of a putty, sand colour.
Chateau Grey: Also not grey! Chateau Grey is an elegant greyed green with a cool undertone.
Not quite 50 shades of grey, but at least now there’s one more to choose from 😉
