First things first — we hope you’re keeping healthy, taking good care of yourself, and hopefully finding some time to be creative.
Next, a HUGE thank you for your words of encouragement, continued support, and your online orders. It’s a difficult time to be a small business, but with your support, we’re still here and are getting through this challenging period.
Hard to believe it’s already been six week since we closed the storefront — in that time we’ve been listening, learning and adapting our business.
Online shopping continues at malenkaoriginals.com where you’ll find our entire store inventory available to shop 24/7.
We’re still offering door-to-door delivery, with free shipping on orders over $100, or $10 for orders under $100. We aim to get orders out within 1-4 business days.
We’ve increasingly been doing more and more contactless curbside deliveries (it’s been so nice to see some of you, from a very safe distance of course!).
Curbside pick up days are currently Tuesday and Saturday from 11-3.
Here’s how it works:
- Place your order online at malenkaoriginals.com and select ‘curbside pick-up’ at checkout. In the notes section of your order please include which day (Tues or Sat) you’d like to pick up your order.
- On the day of pick-up, call us at 613-695-8558 when you arrive, and we’ll either bring your order out to your car OR leave it on the front step for you to retrieve.
We’re pretty quick at putting together same-day orders right now, however if you’ve just placed an order on a Tuesday or Saturday between 11-3, and you’re hoping to pick it up on the same day, please call the store to let us know before you come.
We love seeing what projects you’re working on from home. Please continue to email us pictures to info@malenka.ca, post to Facebook or dm us on Instagram.
Here’s a picture with a lovely message our customer Amy painted on her window using Annie Sloan’s Tilton Chalk Paint™ and Aubusson Blue to give passers-by a lift.
You can use Chalk Paint on your windows — we do it all the time at the shop. When it’s time to remove, just use warm water, soap, and a gentle scrubbing pad or brush. Finish with a window cleaner at the end to take any film off.
And something to leave you with, a little message my kids drew in front of our house…
I know some days it’s harder to remember than others, but it’s true.
Stay safe, stay creative. And please keep in touch.
